Briga... what?

Brigadeiro (bree-gah-day-ro) is a passion develop in the taste and heart of  99.9% of Brazilians during childhood... Every birthday party that I have had since I was a baby, the menu consisted of three essential items: cake, soda and brigadeiros. I have lost count of the number of times my friends and I would spend afternoons watching movies and eating brigadeiro by the spoon full during my teens.

From Wikipedia: "Brigadeiro (Portuguese for Brigadier; also known in some southern Brazilian states as negrinho, literally "blackie") is a simple Brazilian chocolate bonbon, created in the 1940s and named after Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, whose shape is reminiscent of that of some varieties of chocolate truffles. It is a very popular candy in Brazil and in Portugal and it is usually served at birthday parties, but can also be found at any kind of party.
The candy is made by mixing sweetened condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder together. The mixture is
then heated in a pan on the stove or in a microwave oven to obtain a smooth, sticky texture. It is usually rolled into balls which are covered in granulated chocolate; that is the way brigadeiros are served at children's birthday parties. It can also be consumed unrolled, with a spoon or used as a topping or filling for cakes, brownies and other pastries."

Brigadeiro is simple, very easy to make and very eclectic, you can make it with your favorite chocolate, coconut, bananas, rum, coffee, whatever you wish, eat it warm, cold, with a spoon, straight from the pan, roll it with nuts, with chocolate, do whatever whenever you wish...

Brigadelish (bree-gah-the-lish) is a newborn.  I'd like to share my passion with you and I really hope everyone enjoys it as much as we Brazilians do!
